MakeMyTrip and Ixigo Partner with OpenAI to Transform Travel Experience with AI
Leading Indian travel agencies, MakeMyTrip and Ixigo, have announced strategic collaborations with OpenAI to enhance their platforms through advanced artificial intelligence. Ixigo plans to utilize OpenAI’s enterprise APIs to deploy AI tools across its core application, including services like ConfirmTkt and AbhiBus. This integration aims to facilitate autonomous agents and AI-assisted workflows, enhancing user experience for over half a billion travelers.
MakeMyTrip will leverage OpenAI’s APIs to power its trip-planning features within the Myra app, assisting users from travel inspiration to booking. Co-founder Rajesh Magow emphasized that this technology transforms conversational discovery into confirmed bookings, enabling personalized outcomes at scale.
Oliver Jay from OpenAI noted that this partnership redefines trip planning from traditional methods to a more conversational experience. Together, these collaborations are set to revolutionize travel technology by seamlessly integrating AI into the consumer journey.
