Google Labs has launched a new experimental AI app called Doppl, enabling users to try on outfits virtually. This app allows individuals to upload a full-body photo and select outfits from various sources, including screenshots from online shops or photos of clothing. Doppl then creates an AI-generated image of the user wearing the selected outfit and can even convert this image into a video. While the app is designed for fun and sharing on social media, Google notes that it is still in development, and the accuracy of fit and appearance may vary. Doppl is separate from other Google shopping features and is currently available on iOS and Android in the U.S. The initiative may also help Google gather insights into consumer shopping behaviors.
