He emphasized that automated systems have long been part of daily life, using examples like air conditioners to highlight existing technology’s foundational role. Concerns about job displacement due to automation, he noted, arise from widespread fear. Shah advocated for skill development, asserting that Bidyut Innovation aims to prepare students for a technology-driven future. During his presentation, he showcased a humanoid robot, emphasizing the collaboration between humans and machines. “Robots are not going to replace humans where they are needed,” he stated, promoting the idea that technology should reduce risk in dangerous jobs. He also highlighted the importance of governance and ethical oversight to ensure responsible use of these technologies, reinforcing that technology is neutral depending on its application.
