Demis Hassabis, CEO of Google DeepMind, recently won the Nobel Prize in chemistry for pioneering advancements in understanding human DNA and genetics. In line with this achievement, DeepMind has launched AlphaGenome, a new AI model specifically designed to predict the impacts of individual DNA mutations on human functions. This model aims to assist scientists and doctors in comprehending genome functions, which constitute the complete set of genetic instructions necessary for building and operating living organisms.
