Linq Secures $20 Million to Integrate AI Assistants into Messaging Apps

Linq, a Birmingham-based startup, initially launched as a digital business card but has successfully pivoted to enhance customer communication by transitioning businesses from SMS to iMessage and RCS. Founded by former Shipt executives, Linq’s API allows companies to send authentic blue-bubble messages, leveraging Apple’s messaging features. After launching its API in February 2025, Linq saw a remarkable 132% customer growth and a net revenue retention of 295%.

The rise of AI assistants like Poke has further expanded Linq’s market, prompting the company to consider becoming an infrastructure provider for AI interactions. Recent funding of $20 million will enable Linq to scale its operations and enhance its technology capabilities. Looking ahead, Linq aims to broaden communication channels beyond messaging, facilitating seamless AI-human interactions across platforms like Slack, WhatsApp, and more. With a focus on reducing app fatigue, Linq is positioned to transform conversational technology effectively.
