ICEYE, in collaboration with Polish analytics firm SATIM, has unveiled Detect and Classify, an innovative AI-driven tool designed to enhance synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image analysis. This product leverages ICEYE’s high-resolution SAR data and SATIM’s machine learning capabilities to automate the identification of vessels, aircraft, and vehicles with over 90% accuracy. By integrating SAR imagery and classifications into a unified dataset, the tool drastically reduces the time needed for intelligence gathering, offering significant advantages to military and intelligence agencies. Senior VP John Cartwright highlighted that Detect and Classify enables faster, more informed decision-making, eliminating manual analysis bottlenecks. SATIM’s extensive object catalog complements ICEYE’s global SAR coverage, facilitating immediate access to actionable intelligence. With the largest SAR satellite constellation comprising 54 spacecraft, ICEYE ensures continuous monitoring in varied conditions, further enhanced by its new Scan Wide imaging mode, capable of capturing vast areas in a single sweep.
