Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the “Police Manthan” conference in Lucknow, focusing on enhancing policing strategies. He launched the AI-based “YAKSH” app, aimed at strengthening crime prevention and law enforcement. This two-day event addresses critical issues like cybercrime and human trafficking, fostering technology-driven police methods. The conference replaces the traditional “Police Week” to concentrate on outcome-oriented discussions, featuring 11 thematic sessions that include crime analysis and beat policing.
Adityanath highlighted the importance of modern policing, with the “YAKSH” app providing a comprehensive crime database, AI-driven suspect identification, and enhanced beat management tools. Key presentations included strategies for tackling women-related crimes and child protection initiatives, such as Mission Shakti centers. The “Smart SHO Dashboard” offers a unified platform for monitoring crime and staff performance, improving police accountability and responsiveness. Overall, the conference aims to develop a people-centric, technology-driven policing framework in Uttar Pradesh.
