Adobe has launched three innovative AI features for Photoshop, enhancing creative workflows for professionals. Announced on July 29, these Firefly-powered tools—“Harmonize,” “Generative Upscale,” and an improved “Remove Tool”—are currently in beta across desktop, web, and mobile platforms. The Harmonize tool automates complex photo compositing by intelligently blending objects, matching colors, and adjusting shadows to create seamless images. Generative Upscale enhances image resolution up to 8 megapixels, ensuring clarity without artifacts, which is ideal for photographers and social media managers. The upgraded Remove Tool enhances object removal precision, generating realistic background fills. Adobe aims to embed these AI tools throughout Creative Cloud, providing users with more control, such as the ability to select between different Firefly models. Additionally, the introduction of “Projects” facilitates efficient asset management. Committed to transparency, Adobe implements Content Credentials, ensuring users can track how images are created and edited, addressing legal and ethical concerns in the AI landscape.
