Adobe Unveils AI Assistants for Express and Photoshop

Adobe has launched new AI assistants for Express and Photoshop, enhancing image creation and editing capabilities. In Adobe Express, a novel assistant mode allows users to generate images through text prompts, providing a new, intuitive way to create designs without the need to revert to traditional tools. In contrast, the Photoshop assistant, currently in closed beta, resides in the sidebar and can intelligently manage layers, select objects, and automate repetitive tasks like background removal.

Alexandru Costin, Adobe’s VP of generative AI, emphasized the dual-mode approach to enhance accessibility and user control, specifically targeting students and professionals. Additionally, Adobe is developing “Project Moonlight,” a collaborative assistant that could integrate with other Adobe tools and social media to align with creator styles. Furthermore, Adobe is exploring integrations with ChatGPT to streamline design processes. The latest updates for Creative Cloud apps include AI-driven features in Photoshop and Premiere Pro, expanding functionality and user experience.
