For PRs containing two or more commits, the analysis examines cycle time, which includes “coding time” (from the first to the last commit) and “review time” (from the last commit to merge). The distribution of PRs by seniority reveals that juniors contributed 41.1% (813,748 PRs), while seniors made up 38.6% (762,958 PRs). Those with undefined roles accounted for 18.7% (368,996 PRs), and managers contributed a mere 1.7% (34,072 PRs). Seniority and role classifications are inferred from roster titles. This analysis provides insights into efficiency and contributions across different experience levels within software engineering teams.
