RTDynamics has showcased a significant advancement by integrating large language model (LLM)-based AI agents into its VR-Forces computer-generated forces (CGF) platform. In a recent demonstration, these AI agents successfully responded to natural language commands, coordinating fighter jet formations in real-time. Each jet is operated by its own AI agent, complete with a unique LLM connection and interaction history. Notably, these agents can now work collectively to share situational awareness and execute complex tasks without requiring repeated contextual information from human operators. For instance, when assigned a Combat Air Patrol (CAP) mission, agents maintain essential parameters like waypoints and altitudes. This allows operators to issue simplified commands, like “resume CAP,” enabling agents to recall prior configurations seamlessly. This innovation enhances VR-Forces’ applications in military training and tactical decision-making, setting the stage for advanced experimentation in AI-driven strategies and operational analysis.
