When users upload photos, they often unknowingly consent to broad usage rights, turning personal images into training materials. This process subtly reinforces conformity, where validation hinges on adherence to dominant aesthetics. While AI tools democratize beauty access, they perpetuate elite ideals, erasing regional and diverse representations. Feminist scholars argue for designing AI with a focus on inclusivity, recognizing interconnectedness between beauty and social values. The challenge lies not in abandoning AI-generated images but in confronting the systems that dictate whose beauty is celebrated and whose is overlooked.
