By scanning millions of news articles and media reports in 13 languages, “Health Sentinel” has processed over 300 million articles and detected over 95,000 unique health events. While the tool automates data collection, it maintains a “human-in-the-loop” approach, ensuring epidemiologists verify reports before dissemination to authorities. The impact is substantial, with a remarkable 150% increase in published health events since implementation.
