Rhazes AI has launched a groundbreaking pilot program at Al Hamshari Hospital in southern Lebanon, aiming to streamline administrative tasks and support healthcare providers serving refugee patients. Amid Lebanon’s escalating health crisis, the startup introduces AI-powered clinical scribes designed to alleviate the burden on frontline doctors handling complex medical cases under challenging conditions. Founded in 2023, Rhazes AI specializes in generative AI technologies tailored for the healthcare sector, automating documentation, transcription, and billing to ensure regulatory compliance.
The initiative, funded by Rhazes AI in partnership with the Palestine Red Crescent Society, targets hospitals operating in resource-limited environments, particularly those witnessing increased patient demand due to the Gaza conflict. By deploying an AI assistant that adapts to limited infrastructure, the pilot seeks to enhance clinician productivity, ultimately improving patient care. The trial will evaluate AI’s impact on documentation time, decision-making confidence, and patient flow from August to November 2025.
