Andhra Loyola College in Vijayawada recently hosted a workshop titled ‘AI Tools for Today & Tomorrow’, designed to enhance students’ proficiency in artificial intelligence. Led by Bala Naga Sai, an AI Trainer from 1M1B (One Million for One Billion) and in partnership with EY and IBM, the event attracted 354 participants from MCA and B Sc Computer Science programs. The sessions focused on practical applications of AI for real-world problems, underscoring responsible resource usage and alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Attendees explored advanced concepts such as Generative AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Large Language Models (LLMs), and learned about the impact of AI on the future workplace. A standout feature was the introduction of the AI Skills Passport, allowing students to earn certifications through structured learning modules, supported by Microsoft. Dr. Manjula, the MCA Department Head, emphasized the necessity of such initiatives in adapting to technological advancements.
