Amazon Ads Reveals: 71% of SMBs Embrace AI Tools, Yet 60% Encounter Overwhelm

Small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in India are embracing AI in advertising, with research from Amazon Ads revealing that 89% of SMB marketing leaders see AI as a growth driver. While 71% are already using or testing AI tools, many express concern over the overwhelming number available. AI is expected to save an average of 5.2 hours weekly per leader, allowing focus on core activities like sales expansion (29%) and new market explorations (28%). Additionally, SMBs anticipate a 31% cut in advertising costs, driven by faster data analysis (49%) and improved performance predictions (34%). Although 60% find the AI landscape daunting, the desire for a balance between automation and human judgment remains strong. Tools like Amazon Creative Studio are facilitating this shift, enhancing ad efficiency by allowing rapid visual content creation. Ultimately, Indian SMBs view AI as an essential element for future growth, not a replacement for human talent.
