AMD has launched its new Ryzen AI embedded processor series, targeting industrial automation and edge AI applications. The lineup includes P100 and X100 Series processors, designed for automotive digital cockpits, smart healthcare systems, and autonomous robotics. Built on the “Zen 5” architecture, these x86 processors deliver high performance with scalable cores, enhancing real-time graphics via an integrated RDNA 3.5 GPU and AI acceleration through an XDNA 2 NPU, capable of up to 50 TOPS for advanced AI models. The P100 Series focuses on compact designs for in-vehicle experiences, operating efficiently in harsh conditions, while the X100 Series offers higher core counts for demanding tasks. AMD’s integrated software environment supports diverse applications and is aimed at reducing costs and expediting time-to-market. Early samples of the P100 processors are available, with broader production expected soon, aligning with AMD’s vision to drive immersive AI experiences across various industries.
