Amdocs recently announced the launch of a new division focused on artificial intelligence, named GenAI & Data, aimed at consolidating its AI initiatives. This strategic move follows two years of development and signals a commitment to integrate AI into its products and services. However, the company is also preparing for another wave of layoffs, potentially affecting hundreds of employees globally, following substantial job cuts in previous years, including 2,700 positions in 2023. With approximately 29,000 employees worldwide, including 5,000 in Israel, Amdocs has faced multiple layoffs recently. Leading the new division is Ilan Sade, who emphasized the importance of making AI a core aspect of Amdocs’ operations to drive growth. The restructuring aims to enhance Amdocs’ competitive edge in the global IT and telecom market while ensuring business efficiency. This initiative reflects its strategic intent to solidify its position as a leader in AI-driven solutions.
