The redesign features a new sidebar for managing active and recent sessions, allowing easy navigation by status, project, or environment. Users can initiate side chats mid-task without disrupting the main conversation, ensuring context is retained. The app includes vital tools like an integrated terminal, in-app file editor, an improved diff viewer, and support for HTML and PDF previews, all with drag-and-drop functionality for customizable layouts. Additionally, the desktop app achieves CLI plugin parity, enabling seamless integration with centrally managed plugins. Users can choose from three view modes: Verbose, Normal, and Summary for a tailored experience. While some keyboard shortcuts are absent, overall performance and reliability have seen significant improvements. The redesigned Claude app is available for Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans via the Anthropic website, enhancing productivity for all users.
