Apple is set to enhance its Siri assistant by integrating Google’s Gemini AI technology, according to a recent report by The Information. The revamped Siri will provide improved functionalities, such as answering factual questions conversationally, storytelling, and emotional support. It will also assist in tasks like travel bookings and creating documents in the Notes app. New proactive suggestions will leverage information from applications like Calendar, enabling a more personalized user experience. Apple’s upcoming WWDC event in June is expected to unveil additional Siri features, emphasizing a better understanding of personal context and on-screen awareness. While the upgraded Siri will not carry Google or Gemini branding, Apple plans to fine-tune the AI to match its user experience standards. The personalized Siri was first showcased at WWDC 2024 and is anticipated to launch with iOS 26.4 in early 2025, with some features arriving later with iOS 27. Stay tuned for more updates.
