Users can activate the assistant by saying “Siri” or holding down the side button. The upgraded Siri will feature advanced capabilities such as web searching, content creation, image generation, and file analysis. Apple will utilize Google’s AI model for this AI chatbot, optimizing user experience with Apple-designed interfaces.
Additionally, Apple and Google recently announced a partnership, integrating Google’s Gemini AI technology into future Apple Foundation Models. This collaboration aims to produce a more personalized AI assistant while maintaining Apple’s commitment to privacy. Previously, there were discussions about adopting third-party AI models to enhance Siri’s competitiveness against Android counterparts. The anticipated AI upgrade is projected to debut by spring 2026.
