Apple to Generate Over $1 Billion in Revenue from Generative AI Apps by 2026

Apple isn’t currently leading in AI, yet it is reaping significant profits from generative AI applications, projected to rise from $900 million in 2025 to over $1 billion in 2026. A substantial 75% of these earnings stemmed from OpenAI’s ChatGPT, with xAI’s Grok AI contributing a mere 5%. Apple typically collects around 30% of app subscription revenues. In an upcoming update, Apple plans to enhance Siri with personal context awareness and agentic actions, utilizing a 1.2-trillion-parameter custom Gemini model. Additionally, a new Siri chatbot will utilize Google’s TPUs while maintaining Apple’s robust privacy protocols. This integrated chatbot aims to generate content, analyze information, and interact with users effectively. Reports suggest it will leverage a sophisticated version of Google’s Gemini model, known as Apple Foundation Models version 11, designed to rival the capabilities of Gemini 3. Keep up with Apple’s evolving AI landscape for the latest updates.
