This situation may position John Ternus, head of hardware engineering, as a natural successor to CEO Tim Cook. Additionally, the upcoming iOS 27 Extensions will create an AI App Store section, allowing users to install third-party AI chatbots. Apple’s focus on improving the search experience suggests that while it may not lead in AI development, it aims to excel in integration and user engagement.
