Apple has unveiled iOS 26.4, now in public beta, set for release in March or April. Key features include an AI-powered “Playlist Playground” in Apple Music for custom playlists, enhanced video support in the Podcasts app, and encrypted RCS messaging. The update revitalizes Apple Music’s UI, adding concert discovery and video podcast capabilities with HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), enabling seamless audio-video transitions. Security upgrades like default Stolen Device Protection and biometric authentication enhance user safety.
Additionally, CarPlay now allows in-car video playback when parked and introduces third-party AI services. The Camera app gains an Audio Zoom feature for clearer video recordings, while a new “Urgent” section in Reminders prioritizes tasks. Other enhancements include a revamped Apple Account Hub, updated Wallpaper Gallery, and health metrics.
Despite these advances, a next-gen Siri experience is notably absent. Stay tuned for the full rollout of iOS 26.4, offering improved functionality and user experience.
