The A.P. State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) is hosting a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) focused on ‘Discipline-Specific Applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI)’ from March 2 at the University of Hyderabad. This initiative, in collaboration with Andhra University and the Commissionerate of Collegiate Education, aims to enhance AI literacy among faculty in Andhra Pradesh’s degree and professional colleges. Financial support is provided by Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA). The programme aligns with NEP-2020 and Viksit Bharat 2047, training around 200 faculty members in no-code and low-code AI applications relevant across various disciplines like Commerce, Life Sciences, and Humanities. The curriculum includes theoretical sessions, hands-on labs, and case studies, focusing on ethics, AI data pipelines, and practical AI applications. This FDP aims to empower educators and prepare students for future technological challenges by integrating AI tools into teaching and research methodologies.
