The Reality of AI Innovation: Are We Just Rehashing?
In a world overflowing with AI hype and funding, one can’t help but wonder: Where’s the real revolution? Instead of groundbreaking advancements, we see:
- Another note-taking tool
- A rent-seeking middleman
- Just another iteration of repeating ideas
This leads to a critical question: Where is the leap forward, similar to the shift from horses to Model Ts? Why aren’t AI innovators tackling industries that truly need disruption, like the U.S. health insurance sector?
It’s disappointing when investments in AI seem to yield little more than reproduction of existing tools, often accompanied by substantial ethical concerns, such as copyright difficulties.
As tech enthusiasts, we should demand more. The societal benefits of AI should be accessible and transformative—not just a recycled version of what’s come before.
