AWS Introduces Innovative Liquid Cooling Technology in Data Centers

admin

Dave Klusas, AWS’s senior manager of data center cooling systems, explains that the term “cooling” in data centers doesn’t denote a consistently comfortable temperature, like 68 degrees. Instead, the objective is to circulate just enough air to prevent servers from overheating while minimizing energy and water usage. Consequently, during summer months, this approach results in warmer data halls. The focus is on optimizing airflow and resource efficiency rather than achieving a standard cool temperature, reflecting a commitment to sustainable operations.
