Balance has introduced the Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server, a B2B commerce infrastructure tool that enhances AI agent functionality. In beta, the MCP Server enables AI agents to communicate seamlessly with Balance’s payments, credit, and receivables APIs. This integration allows merchants to leverage real-time buyer intelligence directly from their AI chat interfaces. Bar Geron, CEO of Balance, emphasized that as B2B eCommerce grows, incorporating AI is essential for maintaining efficiency in transactions.
The MCP Server allows AI agents to securely access live data via natural language prompts, facilitating tasks such as credit checks, payment history reviews, and invoice management. This capability accelerates transactions, enhances cash flow predictability, and eliminates the inefficiencies of traditional systems. Yoni Shuster, CTO of Balance, highlighted how AI can streamline operational tasks, making B2B commerce more efficient. Overall, the agentic AI transforms traditional processes, driving better outcomes in B2B payments and finance operations.
