Barcelona’s Altan Secures $2.5 Million to Revolutionize Software Development with AI Agents

Barcelona-based startup Altan has raised $2.5 million in pre-seed funding to enhance its innovative “agent-native” platform, designed to democratize software development for non-technical users. Co-founders Albert Salgueda and Tristán Pou aim to transform ideas into fully operational software using AI, addressing the gap where less than 1% of the population can code. The platform offers comprehensive automation, allowing users to create software using text or voice commands, while a team of AI agents manages development tasks.

Co-led by VentureFriends and JME Ventures, this funding round will support team expansion and global scaling. Since its launch, Altan has attracted 25,000 users, with success stories showcasing how non-coders have built profitable applications rapidly. Salgueda asserts that Altan positions itself beyond prototyping tools, enabling the creation of production-ready applications, potentially paving the way for fully autonomous software businesses. The future of software development, he claims, lies within AI-driven solutions.
