Bihar Government Unveils AI Tools for Enhanced Land Survey System – Patna Press

The Bihar government plans to implement artificial intelligence (AI) technology in land survey and settlement processes, aiming for improved efficiency, transparency, and reliability. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha announced that modern technologies will enhance revenue administration and expedite citizen access to land records. AI will be integrated into specialized land survey programs, with the Directorate of Land Records and Survey issuing guidelines for district settlement officers. Each district will create an AI cell led by the settlement officer, focused on exploring AI applications in operations. Weekly meetings will track progress, implement training, and certify personnel. Initial AI deployment is set for April 1, 2026, aligning with both the central and Bihar AI Missions. This initiative aims to enhance decision-making, identify issues in survey data, and elevate the quality of land-related services, supporting Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s “ease of living” objectives and enhancing overall governance.
