Collaborating with her father, André, Henriëtta created this free platform that leverages artificial intelligence to scan local grocery flyers for the best deals. Skrimp.AI generates shopping lists, meal plans, and recipes tailored to weekly promotions. Faced with a challenging co-op job search, Henriëtta participated in an entrepreneurial pitch competition, securing a $5,000 grant for startup funding. The initiative has also attracted additional funding and interns from the university. Both Henriëtta and André believe that AI will significantly impact the workforce, emphasizing its necessity in modern education. Initial feedback for Skrimp.AI has been positive, leading to plans for a paid version that will allow users to input custom recipes and access more regional grocery store flyers. This tool aims to enhance financial security for families.
