Canva (PC: CNVAX) has recently unveiled significant updates enhancing its design capabilities, including a proprietary design model that creates editable layered designs. This model supports various formats like social media posts and presentations, representing a shift from traditional flat images. As part of its strategy to leverage AI, Canva’s global head of product, Robert Kawalsky, emphasized the integration of prompt-based design with user iterations. Additionally, the enhanced AI assistant, Canva AI, now offers a chat interface and can generate 3D objects, enriching collaborative projects. Canva also connected its spreadsheet product to a coding tool for efficient data insights. Following the acquisition of MagicBrief, Canva launched Canva Grow, a robust marketing platform that utilizes AI for asset creation and direct ad publishing on platforms like Meta. Other updates include form creation, email design capabilities, and increased integration of the free pro tool Affinity, bolstering Canva’s position in the marketing tech landscape.
