Chandigarh Police to Receive AI Training and Advanced Tools

Panchkula police are set to enhance their crime prevention and investigation methods through training in artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced policing software. This initiative was discussed in a four-hour crime review meeting led by DCP Srishti Gupta, focusing on pending cases and crimes against women. Special labs have been designated for training, emphasizing the adoption of AI tools to boost efficiency. DCP Gupta stressed the importance of proactive measures against theft and robbery and called for faster investigations to ensure timely justice. The “Mera Thana, Meri Zimmedari” initiative encourages officers to engage deeply with their communities and respond swiftly to crimes. Additionally, QR codes at police stations will facilitate citizen feedback, promoting accountability and transparency in policing. This comprehensive approach aims to integrate technology into law enforcement, ensuring a more responsive and effective police service in Panchkula.
