Over the past few weeks, ChatGPT has faced scrutiny due to serious incidents involving harmful advice. In response, OpenAI is implementing parental controls. On a more positive note, ChatGPT has introduced a new feature called “branched chats,” which enhances user interaction and makes conversations more productive. This feature allows users to delve into multiple topics without losing the context of the original conversation. By clicking the three-dot button, users can open a new branch while retaining the memory of the main topic, reducing the need to scroll excessively through previous exchanges. This capability is particularly useful for in-depth research, as it allows for precise queries based on the ongoing context. Currently, branched chats are accessible via web browsers but not on mobile apps. Overall, this feature promotes a deeper, more connected dialogue, facilitating a better experience when using ChatGPT for complex subjects.
