Chipotle has implemented an AI hiring tool, Ava Cado, to streamline recruitment, significantly enhancing applicant engagement and efficiency. According to Chief Human Resources Officer Ilene Eskenazi, the number of applicants has surged dramatically since the introduction of this technology, leading to a 75% reduction in hiring times. Ava Cado interacts with candidates, answering questions and managing interview scheduling in multiple languages, which improves the overall candidate experience. The application completion rate has risen to 85%, with the average application time reduced to just eight minutes. Despite these advancements, Chipotle faced a decline in sales, indicating that while AI aids the hiring process, it does not directly impact revenue. Concerns over data security in AI recruitment processes persist, especially following a reported vulnerability by Paradox, the AI firm behind Ava Cado. Nonetheless, the feedback from both candidates and managers has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the tool’s effectiveness in enhancing the hiring process.
