Anthropic’s Claude AI chatbot is now integrating with Apple Health, enabling access to users’ health and fitness data from their iPhone. This feature is currently in beta through the Claude iOS app and is part of Anthropic’s commitment to healthcare innovation. U.S. users subscribed to Claude Pro and Max can opt in to share data such as movement, sleep, and activity patterns. Claude can summarize medical histories, interpret test results, identify fitness patterns, and assist in preparing questions for medical appointments. Privacy is a priority; users can control what data they share and can revoke access anytime. Notably, health data is not utilized for model training. This announcement follows OpenAI’s launch of ChatGPT Health, which also includes an Apple Health connector. Both technologies emphasize that they are not substitutes for professional medical advice or diagnosis, ensuring users prioritize their health with expert consultations.
