While she was initially thrilled, her demeanor changed when she learned AI was involved, expressing a reluctance towards AI photo editing. This prompted a reflection on the misconceptions surrounding artificial intelligence in photography, especially considering that Photoshop has utilized AI tools for years. Many clients desire the polished, enhanced outcomes that AI offers but are hesitant or unwilling to embrace its use. As a photographer, this presents a dilemma: employ AI for superior results while navigating client fears surrounding its implications. Ironically, to meet her desire for wrinkle removal, I utilized Photoshop’s AI Remove tool secretly, emphasizing that clients may be more satisfied without being aware of the technology behind the enhancements. This approach might be essential for maintaining client relationships, revealing a common challenge in the evolving landscape of photography amidst AI advancements.
