Announced at RSAC, this strategic shift aims to bolster defenses as these AI agents execute commands and access sensitive data like legitimate users, rendering traditional network controls ineffective. With sensors detecting over 1,800 distinct AI applications within its customer base, CrowdStrike addresses the Shadow AI crisis through new features, including AI Runtime Protection for real-time visibility, AI Data Detection and Response (AIDR) for safeguarding tools like ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, and Cross-Surface Governance for tracking AI behavior across platforms. Additionally, the Falcon Next-Gen SIEM can now integrate with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, facilitating modernization without additional sensor deployment.
