DataGrail Unveils AI-Driven Tool for Enhanced Compliance Platform

DataGrail has launched its Vera AI agent, integrated within its existing platform, to enhance organizational uptake of artificial intelligence in data privacy operations. As companies face challenges in third-party procurement and data governance, Vera automates privacy teams’ workflows, ensuring compliance with jurisdictional requirements. CEO Daniel Barber notes that the influx of general-purpose AI tools can overwhelm privacy teams seeking streamlined solutions. The AI market saw private sector investments reach USD 109.1 billion in 2024, highlighting the urgency for robust automation in privacy management. Vera supports core privacy functions—data mapping, access requests, consent management, and risk assessments—by continuously monitoring over 22,000 applications. The automation addresses recent enforcement issues regarding user consent, ensuring compliance with regulations such as those from the California Privacy Protection Agency. Additionally, DataGrail was named the first production-ready Model Context Protocol server, enabling seamless interactions between AI tools and multiple applications, further enhancing operational efficiency.
