Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood announced a transformative AI-driven education initiative aimed at enhancing student career readiness. The program will establish multi-sectoral skill labs, focusing on robotics, artificial intelligence, design, and mechatronics to foster early employment opportunities. ICT labs will ensure digital literacy and coding training, while digitized libraries will provide essential e-books and research resources. Career labs will guide students towards higher education and job placements. Additionally, “Science of Living” spaces will prioritize mental well-being, and language labs will promote multilingualism. Sood highlighted the conversion of 7,000 classrooms into AI-enabled smart classrooms, alongside the inauguration of 175 new ICT labs with 7,000 computers and over 100 digital libraries. This initiative aims to deliver equal educational opportunities across all areas of Delhi, showcasing a commitment to technological advancement and inclusive learning. Sood emphasized that these developments demonstrate significant progress within Delhi’s educational landscape, regardless of budget constraints.
