Egypt’s WideBot Unveils AI Voice Assistant for WhatsApp Business Communications

Egyptian AI startup WideBot has launched WhatsApp business voice calls via its AI Voice Agent, making it the first Arab company in the Middle East to provide this innovative service. Originally founded in Cairo and now headquartered in Riyadh, WideBot is also developing “AQL Mind,” a generative AI model tailored for the Arabic language, designed to comprehend various dialects and accents. Recently, WideBot secured $3 million in pre-Series A funding, enabling the launch of its AI Voice Agent. This advancement significantly enhances institutional communication, allowing governments and large enterprises to engage directly with citizens and customers through WhatsApp voice calls. Given that WhatsApp is the region’s leading communication platform, the AI agent exhibits real-time interaction capabilities, understanding multiple dialects and executing complex voice tasks with precision. Co-founder and CEO Mohamed Nabil emphasizes their mission to integrate AI seamlessly into customer interactions, thus revolutionizing communication in the Arabic-speaking market.
