Recent research by Rubrik Zero Labs reveals a concerning gap in organizations’ ability to recover from identity-driven cyber attacks. With the rise of AI agents, the number of non-human identities (NHIs) has surged, prompting a focus among CIOs and CISOs on identity threats and recovery. The report, “Identity Crisis,” highlights the urgent need for strong identity resilience, as many Indian organizations face complex hybrid environments involving multiple identity providers, making them vulnerable to attacks on both human and NHIs.
Over 86% of organizations have integrated AI agents into their identity infrastructure, and 56% anticipate that a significant portion of cyberattacks will involve agentic AI within the next year. Alarmingly, 79% of Indian companies experienced ransomware attacks, with 91% paying ransoms. Furthermore, 89% plan to hire identity management professionals soon, signaling a strategic pivot towards enhancing identity security and resilience. Rubrik’s Security Cloud aims to safeguard and recover data, identities, and workloads across various platforms.
