Emergent, a vibrant Indian vibe-coding platform launched eight months ago, has rapidly achieved an annual run-rate revenue exceeding $100 million, driven by increased demand from small businesses and non-technical users. With over 6 million users across 190 countries, including 150,000 paying customers, Emergent facilitates the creation of more than 7 million applications. Notably, nearly 40% of its users are small businesses, with around 70% lacking coding experience. The platform empowers users to digitize operations and create custom software, particularly mobile apps, capitalizing on the growing trend of AI-assisted coding. Competing with platforms like Replit and Wabi, Emergent’s diverse revenue streams—including subscriptions and usage-based pricing—are experiencing rapid growth. Recently, the startup launched a mobile app for both iOS and Android, enabling users to build and publish apps directly. With significant backing from investors, Emergent is expanding its market presence, notably in India.
