On March 27, Penn State Lehigh Valley hosted the “AI for Your Business” workshop, aimed at empowering small business owners, entrepreneurs, and community members with artificial intelligence (AI) tools to enhance business strategies and decision-making. Led by Brad Zdenek from Invent Penn State, the workshop highlighted AI’s potential to boost productivity while stressing that it should be seen as a tool for empowerment, not replacement. Zdenek showcased AI’s strengths in data analysis and evaluation, while cautioning against over-reliance on AI-generated content, emphasizing the importance of verification and critical thinking. Participants learned how to use AI for competitor analysis, product development, and market research. The event addressed the increasing demand for practical AI education and is part of Penn State’s initiative to integrate its expertise with local economic needs.
