This means if you engage with topics like hiking in chat, you’ll see related content and ads, just as if you liked or shared related posts. Users can manage their preferences with tools like Ads Preferences, adjusting what they see at any time. When using voice features, a light indicates the microphone is active, ensuring user control over privacy. Importantly, sensitive topics like religious or political views are not used for ad targeting. This update is part of Meta’s commitment to providing relevant and efficient recommendations while prioritizing user control and privacy.
