Everlaw made significant announcements at ILTACON, introducing its AI Deep Dive tool, now in open beta, and securing FedRAMP certification for its EverlawAI Assistant. Deep Dive enables legal teams to swiftly query large document collections in natural language, providing fact-based answers sourced from specific documents with citations for verification. During a demonstration, CEO AJ Shankar showcased how the tool processed a dataset from the Mallinckrodt opioid litigation, emphasizing its ability to extract relevant documents and provide scientifically grounded responses. Despite its capabilities, Shankar acknowledged limitations, advising users to verify facts and not to rely on it for comprehensive document reviews. The tool, utilizing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and advanced AI models, aims to enhance early case assessments and deposition preparations. Additionally, EverlawAI Assistant’s FedRAMP certification allows federal agencies to adopt its generative AI tools, making it the first e-discovery vendor to achieve this level of authorization.
