Microsoft has released a new preview build for Windows 11, enhancing the AI agent in the Settings app specifically for Copilot+ PCs. This update, part of preview build 26120.6780, introduces significant improvements, including an increase in suggested settings when users search for options. The AI not only surfaces relevant settings but also provides related recommendations and informs users when certain adjustments, like brightness or volume, cannot be made. Additionally, the AI now shows recently-used settings on the home panel for easy access. These upgrades aim to make the AI in Windows 11 more intuitive, especially beneficial for novice users. The update also features a redesigned Run command dialog box to align with the dark mode aesthetic. Unfortunately, these enhancements are exclusive to Copilot+ PCs, as traditional Windows 11 machines lack the necessary hardware for these AI capabilities. More AI features are anticipated, with potential expansions beyond the Settings app.
