With an estimated 60-80% of students utilizing AI tools in their theses this year, experts warn that the rapid evolution of AI complicates regulatory efforts. While there are signs of improved thesis quality, issues such as “AI hallucinations” persist, making it crucial to strengthen academic ethics education to curb unethical practices.
