Innovating with postmarketOS: February Highlights
February was a transformative month for postmarketOS, spotlighting FOSDEM and our vibrant hackathon. Our updated AI policy is now clearer, explicitly forbidding generative AI to ensure reliability across devices in the ‘main’ category. Key updates included:
- Trusted Contributors: Welcome Bhushan! An experienced contributor returning to enhance devices like the Fairphone 5. Special thanks to Minecrell and Anton for their invaluable contributions.
- Contributor Support: Team members collaborated effectively to draft the 2026 budget, improve hardware CI, and develop new documentation.
- Kernel Development: We rolled out generic kernel packages, enhancing control over configurations.
