As a new Pixel 10 owner, I faced challenges setting up my Google AI Pro trial, but once operational, it’s been underwhelming. Despite having access for a month, I’m unsure if the subscription is worth it. Google’s AI Pro includes features like enhanced Gemini models and video/image generation, yet the improvements are unclear, with credits burned quickly. Tools like NotebookLM feel unnecessarily complicated for casual users, lacking mainstream appeal. While AI is billed as the next tech revolution, its complex offerings and niche features deter average users. Google must simplify and market AI’s value effectively. Currently, AI Pro fails to engage users, indicating that the product’s inherent potential hasn’t materialized. Clearer marketing and more universally appealing functions are essential for AI’s success. Overall, while I could benefit from exploring AI further, I see no reason to invest in a service that doesn’t fit seamlessly into my life.
